Who the answer names

Recommended
The answer tells the customer to choose this business.
Mentioned
Named, but not recommended. A mention is never counted as a recommendation.
Warned against
The answer steers the customer away, even if it also names the business.
Not mentioned
The business doesn't appear in the answer at all.

When evidence is missing or unchecked

No citations returned
The answer cited nothing. Mirador can still show public signals it observed itself, labelled as not cited.
Capture failed
The question didn't get an answer, so there's nothing to read. It's retried, never shown as an empty answer.
Review pending
No analyst has confirmed who the answer recommended yet. Treat it as provisional, and nothing is scored.
Hypothesis
An inference from the evidence, with its confidence and basis. Never a proven cause.
Retest unavailable
Mirador can't re-ask the question yet for this edition, so there's no before and after.

Questions we hear first.

Isn't this just SEO?

No, though it builds on it. SEO gets your page into the results. AI assistants read those results, plus reviews, forums and listings, and often recommend one business. You can rank well and still be the business an answer warns people about. Mirador looks at the recommendation and the evidence behind it.

Can you guarantee AI recommends us?

No, and nobody honestly can. AI assistants decide for themselves. Mirador shows the evidence the answers rely on, suggests what to investigate or test, and retests where retests are available.

Which AI assistants do you measure?

The automotive pilot starts with OpenAI models accessed through the API, and every result is labelled that way. API answers can differ from what a signed-in app user sees. Answers captured from consumer apps are planned and will be labelled separately.

Do citations prove why AI chose a business?

No. Citations show which sources an answer drew on. Mirador turns them into a hypothesis with a stated confidence, not a proven cause. When an answer cites nothing, Mirador says so.

Can you show that this drives leads or sales?

Not today, and we won't claim it. Mirador reports whether answers and their cited sources changed after an action. It doesn't claim the action caused the change or attribute leads or sales to it.
